Mountain Pine Vase (no. 2)

Size: 7"W x 7"T x 2"D

Description: The maple is its natural color which reminded me of the foothills of a mountain range. The pine tree image is also on the vase back side in reverse. The finial is a stylized 'elk horn' as sometimes seen on Samurai helmets. The finial is sandwiched ebony-maple-ebony with cross oriented grain to keep it strong (i.e. plywood-like). This finial is thematically consistent with the mountain theme.
