Materials: Fiddleback figured bigleaf maple with inlaid mineral crystals. Interior painted black with red divots on the bottom (like embers). Finished with metal-acid dyes and tung oil.

Comment: Inspired by volcanic flow and the designs on Damascus steel. Traded with a fellow wood artist for a beautiful carved bowl.
