Dimensions: 3.5"D x 3.5"T

Materials: Curly-figured bigleaf maple and African ebony with inlaid mineral crystals. Finished with metal-acid dyes and musical-instrument lacquer.

Comment: In this series I have made about 25 of these small vessels though each is a unique design. There is no template. The design comes from the patterns in the wood, how the carving tool moves through the wood and how the randomly placed minerals create the image. This series has been acquired by collectors all over the world and exhibited in many shows.
