Materials: Bigleaf maple burl with inlaid minerals. Rim is translucent calcite. Finished with tung oil.

Comment: This container is made from a single piece of maple burl where the carapace is the lid. Layers of black, green, blue, and clear crystals were applied in layers on the burl's rough surface then carved and ground to a smooth surface. The result looks a little like water flowing off of the turtle.
